Nowadays, the fundamental role of having a purpose for life in physical and mental health has been confirmed. According to victor frankl, presence of a purpose in life gives life a meaning and increases resilience against pains and traumas. The importance of the purpose in life construct reveals the need for a reliable and valid tool to measure it. Crumbaugh and Maholick's purpose in life questionnaire is the first and one of the most applied tools for the assessment of life's purposefulness. The aim of this research is to determine the factor structure of purpose in life questionnaire. The questionnaire was administered on 206 students who were selected through random stratified sampling at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. Exploratory factor analysis showed that there are two factors "comprehension" and "purpose" and this finding were confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. Altogether results of this research showed factor validity of the purpose in life questionnaire with a two factor pattern

The Big Five Inventory (BFI) is one of the most widely used personality questionnaires, but very few studies have been conducted on its psychometric properties in Iranian population. This study was carried out with the aim of studying the psychometric properties of the BFI questionnaire. For this purpose, 390 university students in Tehran (210 girls and 180 boys) with an age range of 18 to 56 years (M = 27.52; SD = 8.79) were selected using the convenience sampling method and completed BFI and NEO-FFI questionnaires. Cronbach's alpha, multitrait-multimethod matrix, and confirmatory factor analysis were used to estimate the psychometric properties of the questionnaire. The result of the confirmatory factor analysis showed that 15 of the 44 items did not have a strong factor loading (higher than 0.40) on the corresponding factors and were therefore removed from the questionnaire. The fit indices showed that the Persian version of 29 questions (BFI-29) with 5 factors has a good fit with the data. The reliability analysis also showed that the range of Cronbach's alpha coefficients of the factors is from 0.70 to 0.79. The lowest Cronbach's alpha coefficient was related to agreeableness factor and the highest was related to conscientiousness. The findings from the multitrait-multimethod matrix showed that the BFI-29 questionnaire has good convergent and divergent validity with the NEO-FFI questionnaire. In general, based on the results of the present study, it can be said that the BFI-29 questionnaire has desirable psychometric properties and whenever a short tool for personality measurement is needed, this questionnaire can be used.

Improving participation in voluntary activities in Iran is important because increasing productivity among young people, given the country's young population, contributes to community sustainability. Therefore, a better understanding of volunteer motivation in Iranian youth is needed. The Volunteer Functions Inventory (VFI) for assessing volunteer motivations has good psychometric properties and is adapted to several languages, but no validated Iranian translation yet exists. The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychometric Characteristics of voluntary functions inventory in members of Iranian Red Crescent Society. Sample size was 595 members of Youth Organization of Iranian Red Crescent Society from 31 provinces and 175 cities of Iran that were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method and responded to voluntary functions inventory. Data were collected using a demographic sample and voluntary functions inventory (VFI). Confirmatory factor analysis using principal components method was used for data analysis. The results of the present study showed that the voluntary functions inventory had validity and reliability. Also, the factor structure showed that 29 items and 6 factors well assess people's attitudes to volunteering, and the structure of this inventory was well-fitted and confirmed all goodness of fit models. The present study provides the use of the Iranian translation of the Voluntary Functions Inventory (6 scales and 29 items) to assess volunteer motivation among young Iranian volunteers.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to investigate the validity, reliability and factor structure of the "How I Think" questionnaire to assess cognitive distortions in Iranian students. The present research design is descriptive and psychometric studies. The statistical population of this study included all male high school students in city Dezful in the academic year 1399-1400, from which 316 students were selected by multi-stage random sampling and completed the How I think and Bass and Perry Aggression Questionnaires (for Convergent validity). Factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha and Pearson correlation were used to analyze the data using SPSS and AMOS 20 software. The results of factor analysis showed that the questionnaire consists of six factors and has good fit indices. The convergent validity of this questionnaire indicated a satisfactory correlation between the dimensions of the scale "How I think" with the Aggression Questionnaire (p <0.01). Cronbach's alpha and Split- half coefficients for the whole scale and its dimensions ranged from 0.66 to 0.92.The conclusion is that the Persian version of the "How do I think" questionnaire for measuring cognitive distortions in Iranian students has acceptable psychometric properties and can be used as a valid tool in research, educational and clinical situations.

هدف از اجرای این پژوهش، تعیین عامل های پرسشنامه سرسختی تحصیلی در دانشجویان بود. روش پژوهش همبستگی از نوع تحلیل عاملی و جامعه پژوهش شامل همه دانشجویان مقطع کارشناسی مشغول به تحصیل در دانشکده روان شناسی و علوم تربیتی دانشگاه علامه طباطبایی بود. از بین این دانشجویان تعداد 168 نفر با استفاده از جدول مورگان و به روش نمونه گیری خوشه ای انتخاب شدند. پرسشنامه تجدید نظر شده سرسختی تحصیلی بنشیک و لوپز (2005) پس از ترجمه و احراز روایی محتوایی، روی دانشجویان اجرا شد. با استفاده از تحلیل عاملی به روش مولفه های اصلی تعداد 9 عامل به عنوان عامل های اصلی پرسشنامه مشخص شد و با استفاده از تحلیل عاملی تاییدی عوامل مشخص شده، تایید شدند. عامل های تعیین شده دارای ضریب پایایی از 47/0 تا 87/0 بودند و ضریب آلفای کلی پرسشنامه 81/0 به دست آمد. نتایج پژوهش نشان داد که این پرسشنامه از روایی و پایایی مناسب برخوردار است و می توان از آن به عنوان ابزاری مناسب در زمینه آموزشی و انگیزشی استفاده کرد.

زمینه: از مباحث مهم در فرایند یادگیری، باورهای معرفت شناختی افراد است. این باورهای به فهم افراد، چگونگی بدست آوردن، اعتبار از دانش و برداشت افراد از توانایی و سرعت برای به دست آوردن دانش مرتبط است. هدف: این پژوهش با هدف تحلیل عاملی تاییدی و اکتشافی مقیاس باورهای معرفت شناختی شومر برای دانش آموزان ایرانی انجام شد. روش: روش پژوهش از نوع همبستگی است. جامعه آماری کلیه دانش آموزان پایه اول دبیرستان های دولتی شهر بهارستان و تعداد شرکت کنندگان 366 نفر بود. که با روش نمونه گیری خوشه ای تصادفی انتخاب شدند و به مقیاس 63 سوالی باورهای معرفت شناختی شومر (1993) پاسخ دادند. داده ها از طریق تحلیل عاملی تاییدی مرتبه اول و دوم و تحلیل عاملی اکتشافی بررسی شد. یافته ها: تحلیل عاملی تاییدی مرتبه اول وجود 9 مولفه و تحلیل عاملی تاییدی مرتبه دوم قرار گرفتن مولفه های مذکور را در زیرسازه باورهای معرفت شناختی، تایید کرد. تحلیل عاملی اکتشافی بر روی 9 مولفه به کشف سه خرده مقیاس قضاوت شخصی درباره دانستن، باور فرد به سرعت و توانایی یادگیری و قطعیت دانش منجر گردید. بحث و نتیجه گیری: در مجموع، مقیاس اصلاح شده باورهای معرفت شناختی شومر از روایی و پایایی مطلوبی برخوردار است و می توان از آن برای ارزیابی باورهای معرفت شناختی دانش آموزان استفاده کرد.

"عامل اثرگذار" واژه ای آشنا برای اغلب جامعه علمی و پزشکی است، ولی با وجود استفاده گسترده و اغلب وسواسی، معدودی بطور کامل معنی یا کاربردهای آن در واقع مجادله های راجع به آن را درک می کنند. در این مقاله نحوه اندازه گیری و استخراج این شاخص موثر و برخی مسایل مربوط به آن (بویژه سو استفاده از آن به عنوان سنجشی از شایستگی نویسنده) بررسی می شود.
